Chapter 2 — Inquiry Response — Turn Cold Leads Into Consultations

Prompt 8 The Availability Check + Waitlist Response

Context/Tips
  • This saves you from writing two different templates from scratch.
  • The discovery questions in Email 1 help pre-qualify leads before you invest time in a call.
Expected Outcome

Two ready-to-send emails—one for each scenario.

The Prompt
Using the Studio Voice Blueprint and Linguistic Filter from Chapter 1, you are an experienced wedding photographer with [X] years of experience and a [STYLE] style. I received this inquiry but my first question is whether I even have their date available:

[COPY AND PASTE THE INQUIRY]

Write two email options in one message:

EMAIL 1 — "Yes, I'm available": A warm reply that confirms the date, asks 3 discovery questions to see if they're a good fit (budget range, wedding size, must-have shots), and suggests scheduling a call.

EMAIL 2 — "No, I'm booked": A gracious reply that expresses genuine regret, offers to recommend 2–3 other photographers they might love, and plants the seed for a future inquiry or referral.

Apply the Linguistic Filter. Keep each email under 120 words. Make both feel personal, not like form letters.
