Chapter 7 — Wedding Day Brief — Vendor Coordination Made Easy

Prompt 23 Emergency Shot Replacement List

Context/Tips
  • Hopefully you'll never need this, but having a framework ready reduces panic.
  • Keep this output saved in your phone's notes so you can reference it instantly.
Expected Outcome

A clear action plan for when things go wrong on the wedding day.

The Prompt
My second shooter just texted that their camera equipment failed 30 minutes before a wedding ceremony. My backup situation:

- Backup equipment available: [SECOND BODY / PHONE ONLY / BORROWED / NONE]
- Ceremony starts in: [TIME]
- My primary camera: [WHAT YOU'RE SHOOTING WITH]

Generate an emergency shot priority list organized into:
1. Must-have shots (the 5–7 shots that MUST happen)
2. Should-have shots (important but flexible)
3. If-time-allows shots (nice-to-haves)

Prioritize shots that cannot be replicated later (first kiss, vows, first dance) over shots that can be recreated (group portraits, detail shots).

For each shot, note: what lens/angle you need, whether your second shooter can capture it with available equipment, and a workaround if a specific shot becomes impossible.

This is a crisis document. Make it fast, clear, and actionable.
