Chapter 4 — Contract & Pricing Clarity — End the Awkward Pricing Conversations
Prompt 15 Contract Clause Notes for Your Lawyer
Context/Tips- Run this once to organize your thinking, then bring the notes to a legal professional.
- This is NOT a contract—it's a structured conversation starter.
- Chained Prompting Tip: Run this prompt once for a raw first pass, then run it again with: "Now refine each section. Make the language clearer for a non-lawyer, add any clauses I may have missed, and tighten the language so it's specific rather than vague."
Organized internal notes that make your lawyer appointment productive.
The Prompt
I need to revise my wedding photography contract. Draft internal notes/outlines for the following sections that I can take to a legal professional: 1. Scope of Services — What should this cover? What deliverables are included vs. excluded? 2. Payment Schedule — What milestones are standard? 3. Cancellation and Reschedule Policy — What happens if the client cancels? If I cancel? If the event is postponed? 4. Image Delivery and Usage Rights — Who owns the images? What usage rights does the client get? What do I retain? 5. Liability Limitations — What is reasonable to include here? For each section, provide: what the clause should accomplish, standard industry language I might have seen, and specific questions I need to answer for my lawyer. Be thorough but practical. I want notes a lawyer can actually work with.
